Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 7 July 2026
This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work across our engagements with PathCubed. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. Because our work is bespoke consulting and development rather than an off-the-shelf product, refunds are handled per engagement type as set out below.
1. Before you pay
We agree scope and price in writing before any payment is due. For build and retainer work, you receive a written quote and only pay once you accept it. This means you always know what you are paying for before money changes hands.
2. The audit (fixed fee)
- The audit fee is paid before the audit starts.
- If you cancel before we begin, you receive a full refund.
- Once the audit has started, the fee is non-refundable, because the work and its deliverable are being produced for you. If we cannot deliver the agreed audit for reasons on our side, we refund you in full.
3. Build projects
- You may cancel a build project at any time by writing to us.
- On cancellation, we bill for work completed and costs committed up to that point. Any amount you have paid that exceeds this is refunded.
- Deposits cover work reserved and started, so they are only refundable to the extent they exceed the work already done.
- If we cancel a project for reasons on our side, we refund any payments for work not yet delivered.
4. Monthly retainer (Evolve)
- Retainers are billed monthly in advance and roll over each month.
- You can cancel with 30 days' written notice. The current billed month is not refunded, as the capacity has been reserved for you.
- There is no long-term lock-in beyond the notice period.
5. How to request a cancellation or refund
Get in touch through our contact page with your company name and the engagement you want to cancel. We will confirm in writing and set out any amount due or to be refunded.
6. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method where possible, normally within 14 days of us confirming the refund amount.
7. Payment disputes
If you think an invoice or charge is wrong, contact us first through our contact page and we will look into it quickly. This is faster than raising a dispute with your bank or card provider, and lets us fix genuine errors straight away.
8. Your statutory rights
This policy does not affect any rights you have under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights in Portugal and the EU.
